Sensorial

Sensorial activities in the Montessori classroom are designed to refine and expand a child’s natural powers of perception through the use of all five senses, seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling. By engaging with carefully crafted materials, children learn to observe, compare, classify, and appreciate the subtle qualities of the world around them. These experiences help them make sense of their environment in an ordered and meaningful way, forming the basis for intellectual growth and abstract thinking. Through Sensorial work, children develop awareness, focus, and a deep appreciation for detail that extends into every area of learning.
